This is the way to get involved and have your concerns known. We will be nominating President, Vice-President , Development Coordinator and Web-Servant. Please notify any Layspeakers that may be interested in any of these positions.

The Dallas-Denton District Lay Speaker website is changing.  We hope you like the new look.

It is our hope that this website will be an exciting tool for sharing information, announcing and registering for events, and developing resources to enhance our ministry.

Currently you can read most of the website as a guest, but to use many of the features, you will need to REGISTER.  At a minimum for registration, we need your full name, email, phone number, and home church.  There are several levels of registration, but to get access to the functions on this website we need to know who you are.  If you have questions about the system, feel free to email us at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. KEY NEW FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES:

• Event calendar for meetings and training, with ability to register online (still working out how this will be handled). [EVENT CALENDAR AT RIGHT]

• Bible verse of the day, Upper Room daily reflection, and United Methodist News feeds. [NEWS]
• Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Daily Meditations [RESOURCES | SPURGEON'S]
• A Bible Reading plan that emails your readings to you each day.  Several plans and translations to choose from [RESOURCES | BIBLE STUDY]
• Discussion forums for questions, help, and sharing (please be sure to read the rules). [DISCUSSION]
• Polls to survey membership on possible course offerings and other issues.
• Facebook-style ability to link with other members as friends.
• Ability for individual members (registered only) to be able to submit articles. (reviewed and/or edited by web staff and/or officers)
• We may be able to provide the ability of individual members to have their own blog for articles, meditations, sermon starters, etc.  We're going to be experimenting with this capability.

We ask you to look around and give us feedback.  This is a tool for us all, and we want it to serve as many needs as possible.
