Prepare to Teach Class Energizes Future Teachers
Lay Speakers and church members from various districts prepared to teach on August 15 as they assembled at the Conference Ministry Center in Plano for the North Texas Conference Lay Speaking Ministries’ Prepare to Teach class. Class instructors were John Barham, NTC Director of LSM, Sherry Nash, NTC LSM Development Coordinator, and Susan Grant, Certified Lay Speaker, Dallas-South District. Nash and Grant are professional trainers and teachers.
Barham and Nash updated and revised the class curriculum over the past few months. Prepare to Teach is specific to the North Texas Conference and is required for accreditation to teach Lay Speaking Classes - in addition to the General Board of Discipleship course, Lay Speakers Teach Adults. The conference course compliments and expands upon the content of the GBOD course.
